Standard foot straps are a useful tool for foiling, but because it’s easy to get your feet stuck, they also limit mobility and increase the risk of injury, particularly to the ankles. This is especially true during the early stages of foiling progression, when crashing at awkward angles is common.

Slingshot Half Strap Product Details

 

Sold in a set of two, the Slingshot Half Strap attaches to your board’s standard foot strap mounts, with the opening of the hooks facing inward. Mounting can be adjusted based on the board’s insert options to accommodate for rider stance preferences. In addition to standard mounting (parallel with the board’s rails), the hooks also have angular options that allow them to be mounted at side angles. 

 

 

The Slingshot Half Straps are covered in a cushy layer of padding for comfort and safety. The angle of the hook is intended for a loose fit, to provide leverage and support but not fully secure the rider’s foot to the board. Will work with booties, although the fit will be more snug.
