  1. Kite Line MBS Comp 95 Birds Mountainboard

    MBS Comp 95 Mountainboard "Birds"

The MBS Comp 95 "Birds" Kiteboard is the most versatile board, suitable for riders of all levels, from beginners looking for a board they won't outgrow to seasoned riders pushing the boundaries of the sport on a daily basis. Kiters and mountainboarders agree, with this year's Comp 95 being both the strongest and the lightest version ever produced there has never been a better time to join the Comp 95 club.

This year's Comp 95 proudly boasts MBS' newly engineered Matrix II trucks, the complete redesign of MBS' cornerstone Matrix channel trucks, which are lighter, stronger, and smoother carving than any channel truck to date. The Comp 95 deck features MBS' new multi-camber profile, and proprietary asymmetric concave, the poppiest and most comfortable deck shape you'll ever step foot on.

Other enhancements include an upgrade from Twistar hubs to MBS' unbreakable Rock Star II hubs and the advancement to MBS' F5 bindings which are stronger, more comfortable, and more adjustable than their F4 predecessors.

The same basic equipment is needed for land kiting. First and foremost being the kite. Foil kites are typically used for land kiting, compared to leading edge inflatable (LEI) kites used in kitesurfing. Different sized kites are used depending on how strong the wind is, with smaller kites being used in stronger winds. Land boards are made of wood or composite materials which can be made lighter. Beginners should use longer and wider boards which offer more stability, and narrower smaller boards should be used by more advanced kite boarders trying to pull of tricks. Suspensions can also be added and adjusted to the rider’s liking. Harnesses are used in land kiting in order to take force off of the rider’s arms so they can ride longer. Harnesses are usually equipped with a safety system where the rider can release the kite in case of an emergency. Control bars are also used to control the kite in the same way they’re used for kitesurfing. You will find all of the equipment and gear you need to get set up for your next land kiting session right here at Kite-Line.
