PERFORMANCE:
The Sigma shape and 5-strut design of the 2008 Cult produce a user friendly all-terrain kite that works in all conditions for 90% of the worlds riders. Stability, easy handling, water relaunch, low bar pressure, and depower performance come together in the 2008 Naish Cult to improve on the performance standard set last year by the test winning Boxer SLE.
Geo-tech and the Sigma shape stabilize the 2008 Cult, and provide a performance that eclipses the most technical kites on the market. Light, consistent bar pressure provided by the 1:1 2008 SLE Control System inspires confidence for all rider levels by smoothly transmitting control inputs. The Naish Cult emerges as the little brother of the Helix, and provides amazing performance at an affordable price.

The static canopy tension provided by
Geo-Tech results in a super clean and defined profile that
provides solid response through the entire depower range and
results in a kite with the widest wind range of anything on
the market. The Sigma outline provides two significant
advantages: first, it changes the center of effort in the kite
such that this point does not move during the depower range,
and secondly, Sigma allows the kite's wingtip to twist in a
manner that initiates lightning-quick turning.
Visually
striking, while providing amazing canopy tension, these kites
have unmatched stability and wind range, precise handling,
light and linear bar pressure, and unbelievably easy water
re-launch. Nothing else compares. One glimpse, one ride, and
you will never look at kiteboarding in the same way
again.
FEATURES
Geo-Tech
By incorporating straight segments in the leading edge from strut
to strut, canopy tension is kept constant. Wind pressure is
not necessary to maintain the canopy profile, and at low
angles of attack, Geo-Tech keeps the canopy from collapsing.
By maintaining a consistent aerodynamic leading edge, Geo-Tech
provides a wrinkle-free canopy, large depower range, and
stability at broad angles of attack, where historically kites
with a large depower range have experienced distortion.
Combined with the Sigma shape, Geo-Tech creates the most
precise and controllable kite ever, which maintain this
feeling and control through an amazingly broad wind range.
The Sigma Outline The core concept of Naish Sigma kites is a radically reshaped leading edge that
moves much of the center canopy area behind the tow point. The
result is a kite that delivers significant performance
improvements in four key areas- overall stability, bar
pressure and feel, turning, and relaunch.
The Sigma design produces a balanced, linear power band combined with
bar pressure that remains light but steady through a wide
range of trim angles, creating a nearly perfect feedback loop
between rider and kite.

Lifting
Surface This Illustration shows how the lifting surface
remains in a safe neutral zone behind the tow point, even at
extreme depower. This minimizes the movement of the center of
effort, resulting in very even bar pressure regardless of the
kite's flying position.
Leading
Edge The Sigma leading edge enables the rider to turn
the kite at any speed with absolute control. This illustration
shows how the Sigma leading edge produces a "hinge" point at
the center of the kite. Unlike conventional kites that use a
maximum of 30% of the kite area to generate turning forces,
Sigmas cleanly deform from the center to produce a highly
effective turning shape (comprised of nearly 50% of the total
area) that responds more quickly and accurately to rider
input.
Water relaunch
The Sigma kites offer the easiest relaunch in
kiteboarding history. This illustration shows how the area in
contact with the water has been greatly reduced, and how the
kite is able to pivot off either "shoulder" for relaunch.
 One-Way Octopus
Valve The proven, quick-and-easy single point inflation
system that ensures uniform pressure in the struts. It
features Maish's exclusive one-way internal valve that ensures
the air will migrate in only one direction (from LE to struts)
so there is no change in pressure in the kite structure during
turns.
SLE Control System 2:1-1:1 Simplicity
defines the new SLE Control System. For 2008, there is a
choice between either a below the bar trimming system with the
Smart Loop and an above the bar sheeting system with the
Standard Loop. The stopper is now a simple friction device
that is easily moved with one hand and, with sufficient bar
pressure, will move to allow the user to depower without
taking their hands off the bar. The 2:1 to 1:1 conversion
comes shipped in 1:1, and is a simple two-step process that no
longer requires disconnecting of any of the flying lines. The
clean design of the NEW 2008 SLE control System allows you to
focus on the kiting experience.
