The 2014 AXIS Inferno kiteboard was designed for freeriding and features some of the strongest materials found in a kiteboard. Paulownia wood core, PBT top sheet, and the carbon fiber and Biaxial glass laminate. The 2014 Axis Infernos flat bottom, new rocker, and improved outline, make the Inferno a more aggressive freeride board. This new shape allows a smoother ride through choppy water and pop extremely well. If carving aggressive transitions, speed, big airs, and board offs interest you, light up your progression with the new AXIS Inferno. The 2014 Axis Inferno base is a gloss finish PBT allowing bright sublimated graphics. The top sheet is a tough embossed finish PBT with bright sublimated graphics. With its special texture and strength, the top of the Inferno boards is very durable, handling any daily abuse on the beach or in the trunk of the car. The rails are made from AXIS ABS. Our ABS material is very tough and is a special formula that bonds very well to epoxy, meaning a very strong construction. The core of each AXIS Inferno board is solid Paulownia wood. Paulownia has the highest strength to weight ratio of any timber, making our cores light and strong. Paulownia is a very fast growing timber and one of the most sustainable timbers on the planet, we like to do our part for a sustainable yet radical kiteboard future.
The 2014 AXIS Inferno is supplied with 4 x 50mm coloured solid Premium G10 fins. The AXIS Inferno fins are secured by 8 x stainless screws through from the deck with our own fin retainers to spread the load from the screws to the deck area. The laminate is 420gsm biaxilal fiberglass, which provides durability and great dampening, with uni-directional carbon reinforcing on the top and bottom of the board. The combination of the glass and carbon provides a very durable board with great controlled flex for great pop. The boards have a dedicated heel side edge with the uni-directional Carbon, the insert pattern for the binders indicates the heel edge. The 2014 AXIS Traction System footpads/straps & fins make for secure riding, but should it go wrong, as it does with progressive riding, our visible graphics and accessories make the board easy to find during the Crash n Burn. Get back on, try again!
