At Kite-line, we offer kiteboarding bars from Cabrinha, Naish, North, Ocean Rodeo and Sling shot. In kiteboarding, the control bar is a metal or composite bar that is attached to the kite with kite line. Riders grasp the bar and pull at the ends to control the kite, making the kite to rotate in either direction. A chicken loop is typically tied to the control bar and is attached to a hook or latch on a spreader bar on the kiteboarders harness. Most kiteboarding bars are also equipped with a quick-release safety-system and a control strap to manually change the kite's attack angle. While kite control bars are designed to be lightweight, they must also be very strong. Kite line is typically made heavier than water and "bar floats" usually made of foam fixed to the kiteboard lines just above the harness. These keep the bar from sinking when dropped in the water. Control bars are typically made for particular kite types and sizes and are not recommended for use with different kite types.
The 2013 Ocean Rodeo Freeride Bar offers riders the perfect combination of simple yet highly functional design. Featuring below the bar trim and leash attachment and a tension adjustable sliding stopper ball system to adjust potential bar throw. When combined with our Roll Over Bridle system, featured on all of our kites and available for re-fit to previous year's Rise kites the 2013 Ocean Rodeo Freeride Bar offers riders near total de-power in the event of a full safety release, rolling the kite onto its back to await re-launch.
The bar of the TRUST kite also benefits from the advanced technology applied to the BANDIT MONOLITH BAR and is similarly carved from a single block of aluminum 6061. CNC CARVED This CNC tooling process enables us to manufacture the bar from single piece of aluminum.
This new technique is combined with the use of aluminum 6061, a composite aluminum made with magnesium and silica used in the aerospace industry. Apart from its increased strength this alloy offers very good stiffness and excellent corrosion resistance. DEPOWER SYSTEM The F-ONE depower system is ultra intuitive, resulting in great efficiency and reliability.
We are using a rope cleat from Clamcleat®, the reference in the world of sailing. COMFORT For increased safety and comfort, the anti-sliding thermoformed grip also has a double EVA layer on top of the bar. ANTI-CORROSION The new MONOLITH FREERIDE bar benefits from a new anodizing process that reinforces the external structure of the bar and blocks all corrosion. SAFETY SYSTEM The general safety system has been kept the same: UPS with Velcro quick release.
The big advantage is its sand-proof nature. THE MONOLITH FREERIDE BAR SETUP IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE BANDITS 4, 5 & 6.
The new 2013 F-ONE bar is made with the brand new MONOLITH technology, the latest fine-tuned jewel from the F-ONE R &D team. CNC-MILLING The heart of the MONOLITH bar is made directly from a 6061 aluminum block. The computer numerical control (CNC) fabrication used allows to carve the bar in one unique piece.
This material is extremely resistant and is used in the Air and Space fields. On top of its strength, this material offers excellent resilience and great resistance to corrosion. ANTI-CORROSION The new MONOLITH bar beneficiaries from a new anodizing process that reinforces the external structure of the bar and blocks all corrosion. COMFORT For increased safety and comfort, the bar ends are molded with a soft material.
The anti-sliding thermoformed grip also has a double EVA layer on top of the bar. SAFETY SYSTEM The general safety system has been kept the same: UPS with Velcro quick release. The big advantage is its sand-proof nature. We regularly improve our safety system, this year the chicken loop is equipped with a new injected «finger», stiffer, easier to rotate and adjustable in length.
DEPOWER SYSTEM The Clamcleat® equipped with its molded handle and with its Neoprene cover remains unchanged. THE MONOLITH BAR SETUP IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE BANDITS 4, 5 AND 6.
The Base Control System features a new line-cluster with a simplified V-design that allows for easy release and reload. The 2014 Naish Base Control System features a smaller diameter bar along with a high texture embossed grip and a Vario adjustable bar end.
2014 Naish Base Control System Key Features:
Simplified line cluster for easy release and reload
Honeycomb embossed, high texture grip

The 2013 Blade Kiteboarding control bar has finally arrived, after two years of intensive R&D and substantial investment. The 2013 Blade Uni Kiteboarding Control Bar has been in high demand for quite some time, it would have been easy to sacrifice production qualities and rush-release a new bar, but we didn’t cut any corners in developing this fine specimen. The 2013 Blade Uni Kiteboarding Control Bars kinematic conscious design and double mold techniques used to produce the Uni control bar are just another example of Blade’s commitment to producing top end products every time. Safety and versatility are all demands that need to be met. The 2013 Blade Uni control bar answers these demands and more. A corrosive free swivel system, effortless QR mechanism and an adjustable bar throw are just a few of the features on the Uni thatmake the ultimate link between rider and kite.
The 2013 Blade Uni Kiteboarding Control Bar is designed by riders, for riders so you can expect maximum control and precision in a simple effective setup. 19m+4m lines
2013 Blade Uni Control Bar Features:
Ergonomicaly Studied Design
Dramatically improved durability and precision through a complete redesin
High end plastics and flexible materials which resist impact, deformation, and won't corrode or breakdown.
The flying lines are also upgraded to the latest advance in line technology, stretching 50% less than the previous standard.
In today’s day and age, no kiter should have to contend with swiveled lines. Our new swivel design is located above the bar and rotates freely, without the rider having to intervene. While some swivels on the market are good for the
first couple of sessions on the water, the Uni swivel uses corrosion free bearings which will keep your lines just the way you want them for many years to come.
The first feature you’ll notice is the unique shape of the bar stick. We teamed up with a pair of kinesiology professionals to design a bar that alleviates some of the muscle stress associated with prolonged kiting. This unique shape relaxes the upper muscles so you can ride longer and save your strength for busting tricks
and charging the waves.
When it comes to control bars, ease of use, safety and versatility are all demands that need to be met. The Uni control bar answers these demands and more...
We know our riders push the limits every day, so safety shouldn’t be a concern when kiting. The simple QR system activates at a pull force of 4kg, on loads as light as 5kg and as heavy as 200kg. This means that nomatter how hairy conditions get, you have the ability to easily disconnect from the system.
The new 2013 Blade Bar is refined system which inspires confidence by combining comfort and safety with speed and ease of use, so you can focus on riding.
