At Flysurfer, every day is a kite day. The kites made by Flysurfer show that Germans can engineer more than just perfect cars. The passion Flysurfer products are made with allow riders to share their experiences and love for their sport. No matter where you kite, what style you use, how old you are, what conditions you're in, Flysurfer knows that once you get introduced to the sport, kiting will positively infect you.
The Viron kite is Flysurfer's introduction kite that is perfect to infect new kite boarders that maximizes safety, simplicity, ease of use and effortless relaunch. The Unity kite will provide mind blowing jumps in an unforgettable free ride session with a fast learning curve that earns it title by successfully replacing the Pulse2. The Flysurfer Psycho4 was designed for to be a freestyle machine as well with its Triple Depower System. Looking for a land and snowkite? The Outlaw is Flysurfer's offering that is the first high-depower land AND snow kite for boarders that proves that high-depower and open-cell kites can happily mingle. The Speed3 is the "ultimate flying machine", able to let boarders race, freestyle and cruise in all wind conditions.
With the 2013 Flysurfer Flydoor4 Kiteboard in your quiver this means having fun, instead of hanging around on the beach. Everyone has experienced it. You get to the spot and the wind-forecast has been a few knots too optimistic. The Flysurfer Flydoor4 Kiteboard just feels much smaller than it is, however still delivers unmatched upwind performance. Thanks to the centre fin there is no other twintip board, except the FlyRace, that goes upwind better. The 2013 Flysurfer Flydoor4 Kiteboards unbelievably early planing ability combined with the unexpectedly good handling is what makes the Flydoor4 stand out above the rest. Riding toe-side, jumping, cruising.
The reputation of the Flydoor boards for having amazing light-wind properties is well known, but the huge wind-range of the boards allows you to have extra kite days even in extremely gusty conditions. Many of the small inland spots and lakes are now properly enjoyable. Because of this it is not only a great board for beginners, even though there is almost no better board to learn on. From water-start to loaded tricks, it can do everything without being too much of a challenge from it’s rider.
It’s always a challenge to combine early planing and good agility into one board. To achieve this we had to work on a lot of small details. Key to this is the redesigned 8cm long centre fin that is an important factor for upwind performance. The wood-foam composite core allows for light weight without compromising the durability. The new laminate layup gives the board more torsional stiffness which works together with the extremely thin flex-tips to give you an optimal combination of great control, comfort and dynamic feel.
It is self-evident that great riding characteristics alone are not enough. Starting with the Radical4 we moved our production to a factory in Europe that promises the highest quality and precision. Only the highest quality materials are used. For example the most high end top-sheets available. Our tried and tested footpads, G10 fins and our new comfortable and bombproof velcro foot-straps finish off the complete package. To be extra sure in regards to the durability, we used foot-strap inserts which can withstand up to 400kg of pull each. In our opinion it has to be like this, because Everyday is a kiteday!
It has been a long wait for the first official sign that a new 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite is coming and now it is finally here. We are pleased and proud to present to you the next step or rather, jump, in Flysurfer development: the 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite – in sizes 8.0 and 10.0m²! First things first: The 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite in 8.0 and 10.0m² are unbelievably versatile. Despite the enormous performance potential, the Speed4 is still suitable for beginners in the lower wind ranges but still a true air-time machine in the upper wind range.
The demand for other (bigger) sizes of the 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite is naturally justifiable. Still, it is not so simple to top an extraordinary product like the Speed3. So we still need some time – and until then the Speed3 Colored Edition (CE) from 12.0m² upwards remain within the Speed series. However, we are certain that 2013 will be the release year for the additional 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite sizes (12.0/15.0/18.0/21.0m²).
2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite Highlights
Without exaggeration: The 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite is the best performing kite that we have ever built. Whether in low end, turningspeed, relaunch, jumping characteristics or depower… Almost everywhere we have been able to set new limits. Yet it’s performance is more accessible than ever – for every rider. It starts when you pull up the Speed4: The kite inflates incredibly fast and provides security from the first moment onwards. Whether fully powered up or fully depowered, a Speed4 stays stable in the sky. And thanks to the balanced handling not only your jumps are much easier, but also their landings.
In the air
There is so much that cannot be put into words, but instead has to be experienced. The 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kites flying feeling is one of those things. More direct and faster turning performance, a glide ratio that you only experience with Speeds, the now extremely short depower throw, the lift, the control…We needed six months just for the fine-tuning the Speed4 in order to reach this result: It just feels plain great to fly a Speed4.
Our vision is not only to improve our kites, but to further shape the sport of kiting. What has remained is a simple and effective system. Lowest possible weight, smallest pack dimensions, quickest setup and stow-away and enormous durability … The 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite is more effective, lighter and more compact than anything else we have ever built. We were even able to achieve a bridle that is almost one-third lighter and remove an entire bridle row. This not only makes kiting easier, but results in even better performance.
The 2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite is a completely new development, based on a concept: A defined flex performance of the kite-profile. We achieved this with a new canopy construction and an extremely simplified bridle. Depowered, a reflexed trailing edge is formed with especially low lift and high stability. By pulling the bar down, the profiles bends and an enormous lift increase is created. This technology makes it possible to use a lighter construction with less drag, as well as creating highly effective depower and high stability while simultaneously maintaining short bar travel. The new construction is supplemented by a reinforcement of the leading edge for maximum flight stability in gusting winds and yet again-improved aerodynamics. The result is a kite that not only brings all the advantages of the Speed3 to the next level, but also steps up it’s freestyle performance.
2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite Technical Review

Simplified mixer - Just one pulley per side makes for easiest trim tuning for everyone.
2013 Flysurfer Speed 4 Kite Deluxe Cloth adds the following features
With the 2014 Flysurfer Peak we are taking the next step and after 1.5 years of development, our young developer from Belgium, Reinhard Paelink who is the head of the PEAK project has finally realised his dream and created the first single-skin kite with a huge depower range.
We always have an open system to developing new projects to give kitesports more variety and opportunities to achieve the best possible product. Ever since our brand was founded kite landboarding and Snowkiting have been integral parts of Flysurfer’s development outlook. This is why the development of strong performing land-kites is as close to our hearts as the development of kitesurf products. With the PEAK we are taking the next step and after 1.5 years of development, our young developer from Belgium, Reinhard Paelink who is the head of the PEAK project has finally realised his dream and created the first single-skin kite with a huge depower range. The PEAK sets new standards in regards to low-end power, pack size and weight. The extreme weight reduction accomplished by removing the bottom sail allows the kite to generate a lot more power. Creating a single skin kite with depower is an incredibly difficult and complex challenge. It has been achieved by combining knowledge from soft kites, inflatable kites and paragliding with creativity and a lot of fine tuning to create a completely new solution.
The PEAK is your personal lift to the summit of mountains. No pre inflating the kite or pumping – you are ready to go immediately. The lightest breeze and the PEAK will pull you to locations which previously seemed unreachable. The PEAK is super easy to handle even in extreme low wind conditions allowing you to get going earlier. However the PEAK is also easy to control in strong winds due to the direct and effective depower. To recap – you can have super easy control in light and strong winds with only one kite size and a super small pack size. For individual preference you can adjust the bar setup between freestyle or touring mode. Additionally we put a great deal into the PEAK’s build quality giving the durability associated with Flysurfer products. Besides the super small pack size, the real showstopper is how quick to set up the PEAK is. In seconds the PEAK can be unpacked and ready to fly. It can be launched and landed from any surface without any assistance and quickly packed away in its backpack. The PEAK saves time and hassle and offers you absolute independence.
When it comes to safety – we do not compromise! The PEAK has incredible stability in gusty conditions and an effective and direct depower. The 4-line bar is lightweight and very compact. When activated, the frontline safety (FLS) makes the PEAK flag out downwind with minimal pull. The Infinity 2.0 quick release can be re-assembled within seconds so your PEAK is ready to fly again. Backstall landings for short snowkite breaks work even easier with single-skin kites.
The PEAK is available in 6.0m and 9.0m ready-to-fly including control bar and lines. The PEAK is ideally suited for backcountry touring, freeride Snowkiting, kite landboarding or buggying and of course for expeditions or teaching. With short lines it is also great for urban street kiting. The PEAK fits easily in any travel bag so you can always take the PEAK with you on your next trip. Super simple and easy handling makes it ideal for children or beginners. The PEAK can be ordered with a special kite bag which is a super light trekking backpack equipped with an integrated harness. Put your hydration pack in it and you are good to go. The straps are fixed around your waist and thighs and the chickenloop attaches through metal loops. This saves on packing a bulky and heavy harness when you want to travel light. The PEAK can be set up anywhere and is ready to go immediately, no matter where – on a snow plateau, in a field, on the beach, on asphalt or even in the dessert. Lift your game with the new PEAK by Flysurfer!
2014 Flysurfer Peak Features
Innovative single-skin depower concept
This is a first in the kite market! Compared to its ram-air double-skin cousins in our line-up, the PEAK has no bottom sail resulting in a huge reduction in weight and more performance per square metre. The power is controllable due to the efficiency of the PEAK’s depower system. The PEAK definitely sets new standards in regards to low-end, wind-range and pack size.
Unbelievable low-end performance
No other depower kite will get you going as early as the PEAK. At 3 to 4 knots the PEAK is ready to go on snow or land and handles well.
Great depower range
The PEAK has a lot of power per square metre considering that it is a depower kite. Due to reinforcements on the trailing edge as well as the leading edge the PEAK keeps its profile when being depowered giving it a great wind-range. The PEAK 6.0m feels like a conventional 10m soft-kite or leading edge inflatable kite. It is usable from 3 to 4 knots up to 20 knots (even more with shorter lines). This can save you the purchase of additional kites for the same wind-range.
Due to a super small pack-size of only 56x13x13cm for a 6.0m ready-to-fly PEAK – it fits easily in any travel bag. This can save costs on additional sports equipment charges. It is the perfect kite to squeeze into your bags when going on your annual family ski holiday and we are sure you will not be the only one to enjoy it!
The light weight of only 1.58kg (6.0m ready-to-fly) is one of a kind. When going on a skiing tour the PEAK is not an extra burden but a great toy that may even get you to spots you had not thought of before. It is light enough to carry when there is only a small possibility of a snowkite session on a mountain plateau or in the back-country. Due to its light weight the PEAK can be looped easily even in light winds making climbing mountains a breeze.
Ultra light bar-setup
For individual preference you can adjust the ultra light bar setup from freeride mode into touring mode within seconds. To do this simply re-adjust the trimmer knot.
No compromise on safety
The 4-line bar is lightweight and very compact. When activated, the frontline safety (FLS) makes the PEAK flag out downwind with minimal pull. The Infinity 2.0 quick release can be re-assembled within seconds so your PEAK is ready to fly again.
Quality of workmanship and durability
With the PEAK we remain true to our Flysurfer philosophy to make our products durable. As an additional service we offer the Flysurfer 6-month free repair warranty.
Fast and easy handling
No pre-inflating or pumping is necessary – the PEAK unpacks extremely quickly and is ready to go in the blink of an eye. The PEAK can be launched and landed on any kind of surface unassisted. Being easy to handle and quick to pack up after a session saves you time and a lot of hassle. This independence opens up a lot of possibilities.
Touring bag with integrated kite harness
This optional extra is a light trekking backpack with an integrated harness in which you can put conventional hydration packs. The straps on the touring bag attach around your waist and thighs and the chicken loop attaches via a special metal loops. This saves the need to bring a standard bulky and heavy harness. This bag is not a harness replacement, its designed for maximum weight savings for expeditions and freeriding.
On land or snow, with a landboard or buggy, skis or snowboards, freeride to teaching purposes, adults or children, begginers or advanced. The PEAK is your ultimate travel companion and a lot more. We might even see the occasional PEAK out on the water…

2014 Flysurfer Peak Windrange in knots
The Wind Range Chart is to be used as a point of reference. It is based on a rider who weighs around 75kg (165lbs.) Actual use will vary depending on your weight, skill level, board size and the wind conditions on the Water or Land. When choosing the Kite size always use common sense and always choose a smaller size if you are not sure, especially when using the kite on land.
Over the last ten years, Flysurfer made a name for itself as an innovator for the bridled ram-air kite system (foilkite) and has become a force to be reckoned with – especially in the niche markets. The addition of a leading edge inflatable kite to our product portfolio is probably a surprise to some, but the thought process behind it is rather simple: We want to push boundaries and evolve the best out of all systems! It has been almost two years since we made the decision to develop kites open to any system and newly position our brand. Now we present to you the first result of this decision: The Flysurfer Cronix.
The Cronix – The beginning of a new era
With the Cronix, we are once again breaking new ground. The Adaptive Airfoil System generates a considerable increase in low end power. The trailing edge bridle creates more lift through the curvature of the kite profile when powering up, simultaneously helping relaunch, whether by reverse start or by pulling a steering line. The effectiveness of the trailing edge bridle can be adjusted within seconds on the kite, just like the bar forces – so that every rider has the right kite to match his/her preferences.
Allround Performance – Easy Handling
Fast kiteloops, breathtaking freestyle tricks, hard cut-backs off the lip, sporty flight feeling and an enormous wind range…It is crystal clear: The adjustment features of the Cronix have enabled us to create a true allrounder, however it is not just a trusty companion for every kind of kitesurfing. The Cronix is a pleasantly smooth and uncomplicated kite to fly, with a lot of on-demand potential. Relaunching is easy for novices even in the lightest winds, cruisers will immediately feel at home with the Cronix and wake- & freestylers have the ultimate drug at their disposal with the Cronix. Last but not least – although the kite can hold its own in the waves with purebred wave kites, this does not mean that jumps have to take a back seat – the Cronix is a true allrounder.
Thanks to our X-GLOO division, we have gained years of experience in building and designing inflatable constructions. We put this experience to good use in the Cronix, likewise the past six months were pure testing and fine-tuning. With Flysurfer, you can be sure that only thoroughly tested materials make it into our end products – from each individual line to each small piece of cloth in the canopy. We have replaced pulleys on the front lines with maintenance-free, durable low-friction-rings. We put a lot of effort into the development of our Free Flow Valve, which means that pumping now requires much less effort than ever before – and we were even able to successfully optimize the pump!
The new Flysurfer FlyRace Kiteboard is the only twintip racing board on the market and offers extreme lightwind and upwind performance, like you have never experienced before! Don’t waste time lugging your big race board to the beach and screwing 4 huge fins to your fragile directional board before every session. The Flysurfer FlyRace Kiteboard ensures fast and easy tacks and jibes.
The Flysurfer FlyRace Kiteboard adjustable middle fin length, makes sure you have the perfect combination of fin length and control on every course. During its development phase, the Flysurfer FlyRace Kiteboard has proven itself to be very competitive in national and world class Course Racing and Long Distance competitions.
The all new Flysurfer FlySplit combines the opportunity to dissemble the board in the middle with the performance of a normal kiteboard. This is the crucial feature that wins extra space when traveling, whilst maintaining that the kiteboard performs just as well as a Radical or Flydoor. Innovation has always been one of Flysurfer’s highest aspirations when it comes to product development. This self-set aim motivates the development team surrounding Andi Hanrieder every day to create new ideas. One of these truly innovative products is the new boardline, FlySplit.
2014 Flysurfer FlySplit Highlights
Save when traveling -Especially helpful in these times of ever increasing excess baggage fees, charged by airlines on route to your favorite kite destinations, the FlySplit gives you the opportunity to dissemble your kiteboard easily and quickly so that it fits into your travel-bag. This innovation ensures that you won’t ever have to wait the extra minutes -or hours- at the beginning and end of your journey with check in and collection of your sporting luggage. The benefits are not exclusive to air-travel, when reaching your kite spot in a smaller car, or even in a sports car, the FlySplit offers you great flexibility. You might also take the chance to give your friend a lift to the spot, something which would otherwise be near impossible.
Precise manufacture of a high quality construction - To meet the high demands on this product, we’ve invested three years of intense testing and developing the FlySplit to create a kiteboard which is more than just a separable kiteboard. Thanks to our manufacturing in Europe we can guarantee that the FlySplits are produced with the best resources. By using only the best material, we achieve riding characteristics which combine both comfort and high performance. The splitting construction is impressively simple. The zigzag construction joins easily together and needs only to be fixed with a metal splint on both sides. In the centre and the edges of the board we use a full-wood-core to ensure great durability and dynamic performance. For the less stressed areas like the tips we use a light-foam-construction to save unnecessary weight. Due to this construction the FlySplits offers great performance but also a great deal of comfort in choppy and gusty conditions.
One system – two sizes - The FlySplit M in size 134cm x 41cm is made for those riders who love the high performance of the Radical. With the FlySplit M you do not have to miss out on neither an extreme pop for hooked or unhooked jumps nor fantastic up-wind performance. The FlySplit L is available in 160cm x 44cm. Heavier riders and kiters who do not want to miss out in light winds will love this board. The FlySplit L has a centre fin on the heel-side to increase the maximum up-wind performance. The innovative FlySplit M and FlySplit L have very low board weights, coming in at 2.55 kilograms and 3.15 kilograms respectively. This makes traveling even more fun.
Summary - The FlySplits are great allrounders, which should not be left out on any travel, whether with plane, sports car or motorcycle. Due to the fantastic opportunity of splitting the boards in half, the FlySplits are a proper alternative to normal boards on the kitesurfing market. Thanks to a three year development phase, we can guarantee that the FlySplits perform like excellent kiteboards, but are still seperable. Thus there is no compromise on quality and performance.
2014 Flysurfer FlySplit Features
The Split-System makes the FlySplits to the first separable kiteboards that do not compromise in performance.
It only takes a few seconds to easily and quickly assemble a FlySplit. Through the zigzag construction both board parts join and are fixed by two metal splints. From the car onto the water in only a in a twinkling
No more checking in sports luggage and paying extra fees when you travel. The FlySplit M fits in your normal travel bag (common bag size: 75x52x31cm). For the FlySplit „L“ please compare the pack size of the board with the internal dimensions of your suit case prior to your flight.
With their low weight of 2.55kg and 3.15kg for the FlySplit M and FlySplit L respectively, the FlySplits belong to the lightest kiteboards on the market. No extra luggage and better riding characteristics guaranteed.
All FlySplits have a hybrid core, aimed at achieving a maximum harmony of board weight, performance and durability. A foam core comes into use on the toe side in the longitudinal direction, providing a significant reduction in weight. On the side with more load, the heel side, a robust wood core is used, guaranteeing breaking stability and the dynamic recovery force of the board.
The innovative assembly of a unidirectional woven layer lengthwise and an additional woven layer (torsion layer) at a 45-degree-angle achieves considerably higher torsion stiffness, which is reflected in increased jumping performance with nevertheless good comfort.
All of our boards have a special high-quality UV and scratch-resistant coating, and thus offer a long product life. The graphic design is protected under the coating, so that it does not get damaged if the board is slightly scratched.
The „Tucked-Under“ Edge has been cut off at a 45 degree-angle, as surfboards have been manufactured traditionally. This makes the board very controllable, even in choppy conditions and reduces spray.
Wider insert positions make it easier to land. There are three different stance options possible - Small (50.4 cm), Normal (56.2 cm) and Wide (61.2 cm).
The FlySplit L has a 8cm long centre-fin on the heel-side. The centre fin increases the upwind performance especially in lightwind.
The asymmetrical rounder and shorter toe-side outline increases control when riding toe-side and provides increased maneuverability while carving.
Thanks to our manufacturing process within Europe we can guarantee highest quality and the usage of only the best materials.
If you seek nirvana riding powered-up in the waves, the Flysurfer FlyWave Kiteboard offers the perfect combination of agility, control, durability and performance. There is no need for jibing on the Flysurfer FlyWave Kiteboard. Powerful landings are no problem, because of its full woodcore. The Flysurfer FlyWave Kiteboard ’Flip Nose’ on both ends eliminates spray and effectively prevents catching water. The Flysurfer FlyWave Kiteboard got lighter and more comfortable, due to an optimized ‘flex under load’ pattern, a softer footpad and comes equipped with new easy adjustable surf-footstraps. The Flysurfer FlyWave Kiteboard is designed in association with Dutch wave-guru Ruud Overwater, who has put over 6 years of wave riding experience into this board. The Flysurfer FlyWave Kiteboard is an easy to use mutant style board for the rider who wants to ride the waves powered with a board that has a surfy feel.

The design and development goals for the PSYCHO4 were crystal clear from the very beginning. The pressure was high, but the initial successes have already proven that we've introduced another winner to the market!
The PSYCHO4 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor and impresses as a radical freestyle kite with big safety reserves. The enhanced agility of the kite in combination with the direct feedback enables superior control - learning new tricks has just gotten easier!
The total development of the PSYCHO4 took almost two years to complete and also brings a completely new innovation in kite design. The PSYCHO4 with its revolutionary „Triple Depower“-Technology combines 3 characteristics to maximize the depower effect:
The angle of attack changes
The projected size of the kite changes
The airfoil camber changes
The PSYCHO4 impresses by combining these 3 characteristics, resulting in an extremely wide „sweet-spot” where the kite creates its optimum performance. A tube kite, by comparison, only uses the change in angle of attack in order to achieve it's depower effect.
The range of use has significantly increased from its predecessor, worth mentioning is that through the „Triple Depower“-Technology it was possible to keep the kite direct and fast turning when depowered. Already leading us to another key design point and the next milestone in the PSYCHO4 design – turning speed and radius.
The PSYCHO4 is by far the narrowest and fastest turning kite that we have built to date! This kite is predestined for radical Free- and Wakestyle. The PSYCHO4 can master any kind of kiteloop with ease. The rider sets the extremity and limits. Unhooked performance has also been improved, so load it up for extreme pop!
Our kites are designed to fulfill the „wish-list“ of our customers. Therefore, the PSYCHO4 has an extra dose of versatility. The option to individually adjust the steering forces is already well-known among Flysurfer users. New however, is the „ DEPOWER PERFORMANCE ENHANCER “ which makes it possible to alter the characteristics of the way the PSYCHO4 depowers to your own preference. The Depower profile can be changed directly by opening and/or closing the middle air intake valve (in 3 settings).
Open Valve: The profile is clean and accelerates more by depowering. The forward pull remains a bit higher. This setting is especially recommended for maximum performance and light wind conditions.
Closed Valve: The depower effect feels more direct, because the depowered profile is more concave at the leading edge and loses power instantly. The acceleration of the kite is reduced for the benefit of a more direct and increased depower. This setting is especially recommended for learning new tricks and for kiting in waves.
The PSYCHO4 is very easy to control, thanks to its enormous depower and very agile flight characteristics. This is a kite that wants to be worked. If you're looking for a kite for cruising or old school riding, better stick to our SPEED2. The PSYCHO4 impresses with radical lift and big airs when steering the kite back for a jump. The high flying and turning speed demands a sensitive hand to position the kite when landing. The PSYCHO4 is a kite for experienced riders who feel at home in the land of Free- and Wakestyle (or want to).
For this reason, the PSYCHO4 is only available up to 15m². The SPEED2 is unbeatable in the light wind segment and in reverse, in super high-wind conditions, we recommend the PULSE2 6m to intermediate riders, which has a bit more comfort and stability in these conditions.
In order to get the best out of the PSYCHO4, it comes standard with the completely new developed INFINITY-BAR to offer you the safest and best possible control bar out there.
The PSYCHO4 naturally comes with our 6 months Free-Repair Guarantee, as you would expect from FLYSURFER, with regards to durability, the PSYCHO4 also outperforms its predecessor.
Other features at a glance:
* Shortened, colored and covered bridle lines for even easier handling and almost no tangles * No more pulleys at the kite = less abrasion/wear * Trimming the kite has become super simple thanks to the new shorter mixer-setup * Incorporated 5 th line safety system / FDS * Supplied with a strengthened and durability tested Safety-Leash * INFINITY BAR bag for clean and easy packing up and down
The Flysurfer Radical4 Kiteboard lives up to its name. Even sportier than its predecessor, the Flysurfer Radical4 Kiteboard is available on the market in four sizes. The Flyboards-Development team surrounding Andreas Hanrieder and Eddy Lansink did an excellent job, optimizing the Flysurfer Radical4 Kiteboard in practically all regards. The first priority was the switch in production center from Asia to Europe, which led to a higher quality of workmanship. Once this was implemented, a stronger differentiation of the range could be undertaken, whereby each board was tuned individually to riding weight and range of use.
Flysurfer Radical4 Kiteboard New Changes
1. New combination of wood-foam core All Radical4s have a hybrid core, aimed at achieving a maximum harmony of board weight, performance and durability. A foam core is implemented on the toe side lengthwise, providing a significant reduction in weight. In size M, the Radical4 weighs 2,3 kg, bringing 20% less to the scale than its predecessor. The new production process also plays a considerable role, whereby a higher pressure is used in the molding press of the resin content with simultaneous increase of glass fiber content, responsible for the flex properties and durability. On the side with more load, the heel side, a robust wood core has been implemented, guaranteeing break stability and the dynamic recovery force of the board.
2.Torsion Fibre Layers The innovative assembly of a unidirectional woven layer lengthwise and an additional diagonal layer (torsion layer) at a 45-degree-angle achieves considerably more recovery force, which is reflected in the increased jump performance. Still, the flex of the board is tuned so harmoniously that comfort and smooth ride are not negatively influenced.
3.Heelside Channel The deep Heelside Channel provides good grip and makes it possible to set the edge more effectively for jumping.
4. Tucked-under Edge The „Tucked-Under“ Edge has been cut off at a 45-degree-angle, as surfboards have been traditionally manufactured. This makes the board well-controllable, even in choppy conditions.
The additional Grabrails are absolutely soft, but still offer the best control for board-offs or one-footers. Thus, holding the board has become much easier. The Grabrails can easily be glued to the deck.
6. Straps & Pad
The new straps have a simple and quickly-adjustable Lace-System, previously proven with the wakeboard bindings. The enormous adjustment range provides a range of use from shoe size 38 (barefoot) to shoe size 48 (with neoprene boots).

All Radical4s have a hybrid core, aimed at achieving a maximum harmony of board weight, performance and durability. A foam core comes into use on the toe side in the longtitudinal direction, providing a significant reduction in weight. On the side with more load, the heel side, a robust wood core is used, guaranteeing break stability and the dynamic recovery force of the board.
The innovative assembly of a unidirectional woven layer lengthwise and an additional woven layer (torsion layer) at a 45-degree-angle achieves considerably higher torsion stiffness, which is reflected in the increased jump performance with nevertheless good comfort.

All of our boards have a special high-quality UV- and scratch-resistant coating, and thus offer a long product life. The design is protected under the coating, so that it does not get damaged if the board is slightly scratched.
The asymmetrical rounder and shorter toeside outline increases control when riding toeside and provides increased comfort.
Wider Insert Positions make it easier to land. There are three different stance options possible - Small (50.4 cm), Normal (56.2 cm) and Wide (61.2 cm).
