You already know that kiteboarding is absolutely, hands-down, one of the most fun things a person can do. Whether you’re having an adrenalin-fueling big-air session, or a lazy day cruising through warm water, you can’t enough of this sport. We can’t either.
But don’t just kiteboard for the fun of it. Here are 3 more reasons to love kiteboarding:
Whether you’re in the northern or southern hemisphere, people who kiteboard are generally extremely helpful and friendly. We’ve talked to kiters all over the world – from Canada to Australia, from Saudi Arabia to Brazil – and we’ve found one thing to be true: Kiters are good people.
2. Kiteboarding Fitness
When you’re having fun it’s easy to forget that kiteboarding is an amazing, full body workout. The more your push your skill level, the more demands you put on core, your arms, your legs. The better the wind, the longer the session, and the more endurance you build.
Kiting is inherently a be-here-now activity. Paying attention to wind conditions, navigating the waves and whitecaps that surround you, feeling the changes in speed and direction with your legs, feeling where the kite is an what it’s doing through the bar… This all allows your mind to tap into the meditative qualities of a focused activity.
